Does it work on my phone?

WhatsApp is a multiplatform application made as mobile phone messaging service for you to contact other WhatsApp users for free whether it is sending text messages or voice messages and it can be installed and used on most of the mobiles.

The WhatsApp application can not be installed nor used on your iPad, iPod or tablet, since this multiplatform app is mainly made for mobile phone given the fact that WhatsApp extract all the information and contact list from your phone, and attach all your message history and back up to your phone number and not the device as it is. So WhatsApp does not support other mobile phone devices that works only with Wi – Fi.

WhatsApp tries to reach as many phone devices as he can, but given the fact that they do not have a server big enough to do it, then WhatsApp reach to all the current and more used mobile devices, and ends the support to the old phone devices. So you may go to your local phone store such as google play, app store or any other local store and you will see the app, but the fact that you can download it, it does not mean it will work on your phone since it is not supported.

So remember before you download the WhatsApp make sure you phone device is supported or else if you install it you will still not be able to use it.

To see the supported phone devices just check the WhatsApp web page.
