Automatically download WhatsApp images

When you install WhatsApp by default all the media that are have been sent to you on the chat, it gets automatically downloaded and saved on your phone using your cellular or wi – fi connection.

If you do not want WhatsApp to download and save the images, video or voice messages that are sent to you automatically, you can modify this feature, to do that just follow the next steps.

1. Go to the WhatsApp application and open it by tapping on it

2. Once you have opened WhatsApp app, you will see some menu tabs at the bottom, go to “settings” tab that it is located at the bottom right of the app, and tap on it

3. Once you are on the settings window, you will see multiple commands option, go to the “Data and storage usage” button and tap on it

4. Once you tap on the data and storage usage button, a window called “Data and Storage Usage” will open, at the top of that window you will see a section called “media auto – download”, go to that section

5. On that section you will see multiple media options, go to the “images” option located at the top of that section and tap on it to modify the auto – download method.

6. Once you enter to the images auto – download option, you will see multiple options for when to auto – download the images sent to you, tap on “Never” if youdo not want for WhatsApp to auto – download the images, tap on “Wi – Fi” if you want WhatsApp to download the images only when your cellphone is connected to a Wi – Fi red, or select Wi – Fi and Cellular if you want for WhatsApp to download images whenever you are using your cellular data connection or Wi – Fi connection. Tap on the option you prefer.

7. Once you are done selecting the option that you prefer, go to the “Back” option located at the top left corner and tap on it to repeat the same process with the other media options

8. Once you are back on “media auto – download” section, you will see multiple media options, go to the “Audio” option located at the top of that section and tap on it to modify the auto – download method.

9. Once you enter to the audio auto – download option, you will see multiple options for when to auto – download the audio sent to you, tap on “Never” if you do not want for WhatsApp to auto – download the audio, tap on “Wi – Fi” if you want WhatsApp to download the audio only when your cellphone is connected to a Wi – Fi red, or select Wi – Fi and Cellular if you want for WhatsApp to download the audio whenever you are using your cellular data connection or Wi – Fi connection. Tap on the option you prefer.

10. Once you are done selecting the option that you prefer, go to the “Back” option located at the top left corner and tap on it to repeat the same process with the other media options.

11. Once you are back on “media auto – download” section, you will see multiple media options, go to the “Videos” option located at the top of that section and tap on it to modify the auto – download method.

Once you enter to the Video auto – download option, you will see multiple options for when to auto – download the Video sent to you, tap on “Never” if you do not want for WhatsApp to auto – download the Video, tap on “Wi – Fi” if you want WhatsApp to download the Video only when your cellphone is connected to a Wi – Fi red, or select Wi – Fi and Cellular if you want for WhatsApp to download the Video whenever you are using your cellular data connection or Wi – Fi connection. Tap on the option you prefer.

13. Once you are done selecting the option that you prefer, go to the “Back” option located at the top left corner and tap on it to repeat the same process with the other media options.

14. Once you are back on “media auto – download” section, you will see multiple media options, go to the “Documents” option located at the top of that section and tap on it to modify the auto – download method.

Once you enter to the Documents auto – download option, you will see multiple options for when to auto – download the Documents sent to you, tap on “Never” if you do not want for WhatsApp to auto – download the Documents, tap on “Wi – Fi” if you want WhatsApp to download the Documents only when your cellphone is connected to a Wi – Fi red, or select Wi – Fi and Cellular if you want for WhatsApp to download the Documents whenever you are using your cellular data connection or Wi – Fi connection. 16. Once you are done selecting the option that you prefer, go to the “Back” option located at the top left corner and tap on it to finish
