How to Komodo as Default Program for PHP File in Ubuntu
Komodo Edit is a powerful code editor by ActiveState. It’s used by many web developers and programmers worldwide. Komodo Edit is free to download and use. ActiveState has an IDE called Komodo IDE. Komodo IDE is not free, but it has more feature than Komodo Edit.

- A computer with Ubuntu operating system installed.
- Komodo Edit text editor must be installed.

Step 1: To set Komodo Edit as the default text editor for PHP, right click on a PHP source code file, and click on “Properties”.
Step 2: Once the properties window shows up, navigate to the “Open With” tab.
Step 3: Select “Komodo Edit 10” from the list and click on “Set as default”.
That’s it. Komodo Edit is now the default program for PHP files.
Step 4:Now double click on any PHP file. Komodo Edit should open and view that file.
