How to use twitter hashtags?

A hashtag is written with a # symbol before the word and is used to index keywords or topics on Twitter. This function was created on Twitter, and allows people to easily follow topics they are interested in.

The hashtags helps connects Tweets that talk about the same thing in one place.

The twitters use the hashtag symbol (#) before a relevant keyword on their tweets to put them in a category and like that people can find them more easily in the twitter search.

Hashtags can be included anywhere in a tweet and when a lot of people are tweeting and posting the same hashtag it will become what is called tending topics.

To use a hashtag just write a tweet, you can do it by following the next steps:

1- Go to twitter webpage 

2- Sign in to your Twitter account using your phone/email or username and your password and click on “Log in” 


3- Go to the “what’s happening box at the top of your Home timeline 


Or you can also click the Tweet button, located at the top right corner of your navigation bar. 


4- Type to start composing your Tweet into the box, to include a hashtag just type the # symbol, a list of current trending topics will appear, you can choose to include one of these suggested hashtags (tap to select) or add your own hashtag text. 


5- When you are done composing your new tweet, click on next to post your tweet.
